BUTTON PINS GUIDE

Button Pins  are usually round in shape so basically, we will also need an already round file that will fit perfectly. Just make sure that the image will be placed strategically well within the bounds of the button pin face/shell so that it will not be cut or bent to the back of the button pin.

Here are templates/overlays you can place over your design to make sure that your design/artwork fits or it is the right scale in contrast to its background:

1.0 inch          1.25 inches          1.75 inches          2.25 inches

Here's a quick tutorial video on how to use the overlays/templates:

The shell is made out of metal. The Pasta Printers currently offer 3 different sizes: 1.25 inches (32mm), 1.75 inches (44mm), and 2.25 inches (58mm). The Pin is also made out of metal and the Pin Back that we use is made out of plastic. For the print to last longer, we also place a transparent film top layer which can be customizable to different types of finish: Glossy, Matte, Glitter, Holo Rainbow, Holo Broken Glass, etc.

DESIGN PLACEMENT/FORMAT

To get the best results for button pins, the design must be the right size and resolution (1000 x 1000 px with at least 300 dpi). Make sure that your design has enough bleed/background/edge space from the center of the design so that it will not be cut or folded to the back of the button pin.
